ELECTRICAL TRAINING

Ready Arc's Electrical program prepares students for work as Electrical Apprentices with electrical contracting companies for residential, commercial and industrial construction and maintenance. Student Loans may be available to qualiying students.

Program Outline - 40 Week Course

900 Hours of Practical Time consisting of:

  • Fundamental Wiring
  • Conductor and Cables
  • Conduit, Tubing and Fittings
  • Raceways, Wireways and Busways
  • Single Phase Service Entrances
  • Electric Heating Systems and Controls
  • Troubleshooting Techniques
  • Overhead Crane Operation

700 Hours of Class Time consisting of:

  • Blueprint Reading
  • Math for Electricians
  • Electrical Theory:
    • Safety measures in construction
    • Hand Tools
    • Power Tools
    • Commuications
    • Fasteners
    • Rigging
    • Codes
    • WHMIS
    • DC Theory
    • Series and Parallel Circuits
    • Voltage Drop and Power Loss
    • Single Phase Theory


Registration Fee $300.00 (Non-refundable)

  • All classes are based on 35 hours per week
  • 8:30AM - 4:00PM
  • Half Hour Lunch Break
  • Instructors are registered with the Department of Advanced Education & Labour and are trained in the latest technology
