Courses start every March and September

Program Outline - 24 Week Pressure Welding
This program offers the skills needed for a beginner to achieve sucessful completion of an approved F4 Pipe Ticket along with Math Blueprint and Welding theory related to the trade.

Practical Test

• 1 - F3B Plate Test (4 Position)
• 1 - F3 Pipe Test (6G Postion)
• 1 - F3/F4 pipe Test (6G Postion)
  

420 Hours of Practical Time consisting of:

• Oxygen / Acetylene - Cutting & Brazing
• Shield Metal Arc Welding - Fillet Welds & Butt Welds
• Flux Core Arc Welding - Fillet Welds & Butt Welds
• Overhead Crane Operation
• Iron Worker Operation
• Horizontal Bandsaw Operation
  

360 Hours of Class Time consisting of:

• Blueprint Reading for Welders
• Math for Welders
• Welding Theory:
  • Shield Metal Arc
  • Metallurgy
  • Basic Shop Safety
  • Communications
  • Flux Core Metal Arc
  • Rigging
  • Welding Safety
  • WHMIS

12 Week Course F3 Plate & Approved Pipe
To qualify for training and testing with the Department of Advanced Education & Labour, students must have one year general welding experience or related trade.

To qualify for traning and testing, students must have received F3B Plate welding Certificate.

6 Week Course for F3B & F4B Plate Welding Certificate
To qualify for testing with the Department of Advanced Education & Labour, students must have one year general welding experience or related trade.
